We started the cross-journey that I have been keeping records of, and intending to write about for perhaps that long. As it is the anniversary of our departure – and I have not been here much – I thought it a great moment to get back into the swing of things.
Much has happened in the backyard, but I think just focusing on the travel adventure right now is best, no? That way I will actually record it.
We left Black Cat to the very kind neighbor’s good graces and set off, thinking a maximum three week excursion.
The first – and much needed – adventure we had was about 90 minutes north of Tampa, in Ocala at a Mexican Hacienda. A restaurant, marketplace and social hang out, it seemed. Welcoming. I’m not for Mexican food much, but Blue loves it. Particularly authentic Mexican. I was thrilled to discover that they sold whole fish, not just fillets.
Having hardly begun our trip, we were hungry and exhausted, and a day late on the push off too!
