I actually quite like this one. This is a fresh water clam. The food of the limpkin, seen in yesterday’s post. This bird gets quite energetic in it’s consumption. It vigorously pries open the clam and wrestle’s the creature free. Occasionally, it must lift it’s long beak and pound the shell so it splits open.

The thing about the commitment to write a post every day is the the discipline of the thing. I have given myself such short term challenges before with success.

It is important to write daily if I am to be less concerned about the quality. As with any habit, practice makes improvement.

I’ve also made a commitment to post my photographs. I find that just the habit of posting these is not very useful. However, because I do find it burdensome, I am going to continue it. The point being that living up to my commitment is a worthy goal in and of itself. Particularly as this commitment causes no harm.

The unexceptional images that I have been posting do not adequately represent my work. I have far better images, but none taken on this day. I will be attempting to be more selective, perhaps going backwards in time to recount and display my favourites.
