Trees and Sunlight

It has been ten days since I started this challenge. I imagined that it would be easier than it has been.

I don’t have a clear sense of what I want here except a gathering place for images that I find inspirational. I also mean to document my journey across the country last summer. However, thinking about it everyday is a bit burdensome.

My belief, though is that the discipline is the value. I’m endeavoring to recount things I want to remember, thoughts and outside nature activities, so that this challenge is not me merely recording
the passing of the days, but my involvement in that passing.

…to create a place where I can go to reabsorb the beauty that I manage to capture.

It started out spectacularly sunny and bright, quickly changed to overcast, then blew over again in the afternoon.

I was overwhelmed by some other responsibilities from this week and missed seeing the wild creatures – no turtles, no alligators, a couple birds, yes. I decided to enjoy the sunlight and blue skies on their own. It was calming and enriching. There is not blue sky that is not gorgeous. And I do love the wispy clouds here.

So, these photos reflect this, and records my purpose here on RTBT: to create a place where I can go to reabsorb the beauty that I manage to capture.
